Stationary application of fuel cells in combined heat and power generation

Beside a description of the technology of fuel cell systems this study contains a broad ecological and economical comparison with conventional technologies. Thereby the main focus lies in the field of energy supply of residential buildings. It describes the conditions under which fuel cell systems are becoming competitive to conventional technologies. Market perspectives of fuel cell systems are being analyzed for the years 1999 to 2025. The study gives information about the theoretical and technological potential of the usage of fuel cells in the sectors industry, households and small consumption.
